STOPPED BEING SURPRISED. NICK: THE INVESTIGATION STARTED WHEN A MANAGER AT WILDE HONDA REALIZED A NUMBER OF THEIR LOANER CARS WERE MISSING>>THE MOST SHOCKING PART OF THIS WAS THE REASON WHY. NICK: THE POLICE INVESTIGATION REVEALED AN INSIDE JOB. 22-YEAR-OLD ERIN DUFFY IS ACCUSED OF LETTING A MAN USE WILDE’S LOANER CARS IN EXCHANGE FOR ABOUT $120 A MONTH IN HEROIN.>>SHE THOUGHT IT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA TO TAKE VEHICLE SHE HAD AN AUTHORITY TO LEASE OUT TO CUSTOMERS AND CLIENTS AND COWORKERS. SHE DIDN’T HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO RELEASE THEM TO HER DRUG DEALER. NICK: EVEN WHEN ONE OF THE CARS WAS TOWED IN MILWAUKEE FOR A PARKING VIOLATION, IT MADE ITS WAY BACK TO THE DRUG DEALER. ACCORDING TO THE CRIMINAL COMPLAINT, DUFFY PICKED UP AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR COMING TO A TOLL LOT AND FORGING HER — COMING TO A TOW LOT AND FORGING HER BOSSES NAME. POLICE SAY DUFFY CONFESSED, SAYING SHE KNEW THAT IT WAS WRONG TO TAKE THESE CARS WITHOUT WILDE HONDA’S PERMISSION AND GIVE THEM TO HER DRUG DEALER.>>SHE RISKED HER CAREER.
