BUT HE VOWED TO FIGHT TO GET HIS MONEY BACK. DENNIS MACEDO WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP… AGREED ON A PRICE… AND BOUGHT THIS CAR. 10:37:46 I said does this include all taxes and fees? He said yes it does. :50 A FEW DAYS LATER… DENNIS GOT A TEXT FROM THE CAR SALESMAN… 10:38:13 they’re telling me I owe another $1330. :14 10:48:16 it just made absolutely no sense. AT FIRST… DENNIS REFUSED TO PAY THE EXTRA MONEY… 10:48:30 I said fine, just give me my car bck. Just give me my deposit back. They said it wasn’t possible. :34 THE DEALERSHIP DROPPED ITS DEMAND FROM 13-HUNDRED DOLLARS TO 795… AND ULTIMATELY – DENNIS SIGNED A NEW BILL OF SALE BECAUSE HE SAYS.. HE HAD NO OTHER CHOICE. 10:49:00 they told me they were going to take the plates off my car b/c it wasn’t registered. They were going to give me temp plates unless I made this payment. :07 they forced me to make a payment of an additional 795 :11 IN A LETTER TO THE DEALERS’ LICENSE AND REGULATION OFFICE… RUSSELL BAUER… THE GENERAL MANAGER OF LANGWAY TOYOTA OF NEWPORT ADMITTED HIS DEALERSHIP MADE AN ERROR… “we gave the customer a sales tax credit for his trade in which we should not have…” THE LICENSE AND REGULATION OFFICE SAID THE COMPLAINT DIDN’T ‘WARRANT ENFORCEMENT ACTION’ BUT SUGGESTED DENNIS MAY FIND RELIEF IN SMALL CLAIMS COURT. SO HE FILED A LAWSUIT.. HE ALSO CONTACTED US AT CALL 12 FOR ACTION. 10:52:28 they made an error. I’m not paying for their error. Period. (SC) THE GM REFUSED TO TALK WITH ME ABOUT THE ISSUE.. BUT WITHIN MINUTES OF MY PHONE CALL… DENNIS TELLS ME THE DEALERSHIP CONTACTED HIM AND PROMISED TO SEND A CERTIFIED CHECK…. A 795 DOLLAR REFUND PLUS COURT FEES.
