HE SAYS HE QUICKLY REALIZED HE WAS NOT ALONE AND DECIDED TO AVOID THIS.>>EXTRACTED OFF AND ENDED UP MATCHING THE DESCRIPTION AND I RELUCTANTLY CALLED THINKING THAT IT IS PROBABLY TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE. BUT WHEN I CALLED AND THEY VERIFIED MY COAT AND SAID CONGRATULATIONS, YOU ARE MY GRAND PRIZE WINNER.>>ON SATURDAY MORNING HE OPENED HIS MAIL AND THOUGHT IT WAS HIS LUCKY DAY. HE RECEIVED A SCRATCH FROM NISSAN OF SAINT AUGUSTINE AND KNEW HIS PRAYERS HABEEN ANSWERED. BUT IT SAID HE WILL WANT A NEW CAR. HE CALLED THE NUMBER ON THE SCRATCH UP AND SAID HE WAS TOLD BY A WOMAN TO COME IN THE STORE TO RECEIVE HIS PRIZE. BUT WHEN HE ARRIVED ->>MY GRANDMOTHER WAS WITH ME AND ENDED UP THEY HAD A DIFFERENT CODE ON THE DOOR. AND THAT DIDN’T MATCH MY WINTER CARD. THE OFFER MADE A COUPLE OF LOTTERY TICKETS WHICH I DIDN’T EVEN TAKE. I WAS TOO UPSET.>>Reporter: I SPOKE WITH THE GENERAL MANAGER TO SEE IF THIS IS A SCAM AND HE ASSURED ME THE ADVERTISEMENT WAS LEGITIMATE. THAT THEY HAVE HAD THREE WINNERS IN THE PAST SIX YEARS. ALL ENTICEMENTS WHENEVER IT COMES DOWN TO THE ACTIVATION CODE. THE DEALERSHIP SAYS DEPENDING ON YOUR CODE YOU COULD WIN A TABLET, A CAR FOR A FEW LOTTERY TICKETS. AND THAT IS WHAT HAPPENED TO SPENCER. THE DEALERSHIP HAS SINCE ACKNOWLEDGED THE MISUNDERSTANDING AND SAYS THEY PLAN TO LOOK INTO ADVERTISEMENTS THAT ARE LESS MISLEADING.>>WILL BE AWESOME IF THEY JUST I MEAN IT’S ONE THING IF YOU SAY COME IN TO SEE WHAT YOU WANT. BUT IF YOU TELL SOMEONE THEIR GRAND PRIZE WINNER AND YOU GOT THEIR HOPES UP THAT THEY WANT A NEW CAR, THAT IS JUST NOT EVEN, IT’S A LIE. IF THEY COULD JUST REDO THE WAY YOU DO IT SO IT IS NOT MISLEADING I THINK IT WOULD BE REALLY AWESOME.>>I WILL SAY I LOOKED AT THE ADVERTISEMENT THAT SPENCER RECEIVED AND THAT WAS FINE PRINT AT THE BOTTOM. IT SAID IN THE FINE PRINT THE IMAGES ARE FOR ILLUSTRATION PURPOSES ONLY. IT DOES NOT REFLECT EXACT PRIZE BUT AGAIN, IT IS IMPORTANT TO READ THE FINE PRINT. AND ALSO DO YOUR HOMEWORK.
