  1. Looks like 2.6 k mechanics out there hate the fact they're crooked asses got called out! It has to be mechanics because I cant think of any other reason anyone would hate on this video!

  2. i repair my own car, only the very obvious basic stuff. never touch what's inside the engine once, but with Chris' video and crystal clear explanations, I am entice to do more than just the basic stuff!

  3. A good test subject for engine cleaner additives though, impressive that the Honda survived that engine oil mistreatment.

  4. Kid: starts drawing with crayols
ChrisFix: OK, before you start drawing put on a safety glass so you don't get crayols in your eyes.

  5. Probably the greatest video I’ve ever seen in my life learned more about cars watching this video than all the fast and furious movies combined

  6. uhhh, youre not even gonna bother investigating why the belt was loose in the first place? might have some seirous problems under there. Not smart to leave it that way, esp as many hondas have interference engines.

  7. @Chrisfix could you make a video about replacing the timing belt, you showed some of it right here, but missing out how to get it out. I would very thankful. Cheers

  8. I was going through the different things in my head. As soon as you pulled the timing belt cover I was like and it's so out of time it's not funny. Good on you for going through the troubleshooting process though.

  9. Just dropped my car off at the shop because I didn't start it for about a year. I wonder if one of these was the culprit…

  10. Chrisfix! Help me chrisfix my 86 Oldsmobile Calais. I got it for free from a customer at work (AutoZone) who lives 130 miles away and was buying his son a used car. It doesn't have spark. I've replaced the plugs, wires, coil, ignition control module, dizzy cap, and rotor. The only other things I can think of are the ecm and the ignition switch.

  11. bro i didn't got the timing notch …. either i have poor eyesight or i didn't saw it… i have watched the specific clip many times but i don't get it… will u please make sure that u do it again in next videos…. BTW love ur content…. Lots of love from INDIA.

  12. All the people that have disliked the video are probably pissed off Mechanics losing out on business for people doing home jobs rather going to the local mechanic for repairs

  13. I wonder how best to clean that valve compartment…. I'm thinking a siphon gun with the tube into mineral spirits and many shrouds around the engine's valve area to funnel the goop down into a pan below. I use house dryer bases, they have about 2" sides and can hold a lot more fluid than the drip pans you see in auto parts stores which barely even have sides. A lot of that mineral spirits will find it's way down into the engine's oil pan, so I'd change the oil right after cleaning was finished. A typical case of a car owner never getting his oil changed. Idiot.

  14. @chris I got a 91 Honda Accord that was cranking n running I took out my battery one day n put I bacc in it was like my battery was dead so I tested it wasn’t the problem tested my fuses starter distributor and engine are good but it won’t crank n it gets no electric wen I put in my key only thing that works is my break lights and hazard lights what do you think can be wrong with it

  15. hi chrisfix i have a 2005 ford escape and about a year ago the alternator when bad causing the computer to crap out and then about 4 months ago the computer went bad again so we took it into ford and they said we should just scrap the car could you help me to find the problem it only run on 3 out of the 6 cylinders

  16. hello i have this problem on my 1873 Toyota Celica st and i still can't figure what my problem is so far,i have replaced the battery, ignition coil, spark plugs, distributor contact points, distributor condensor, fuel pump(mechanical to electrical) and fuel filters that were all bad on the car. i have checked compression and found that cylinder 1 has low compression. also when i put carb cleaner in the carburetor, the car starts for a few seconds, but revs really high like i'm flooring it,but i'm not. Also i see in the carburetor sight glass that the fuel in it drops. So the point i'm at right now is to take my carburetor and get it rebuilt to see if that is the problem.

  17. sounds like the dudes mechanic just threw stuff at the car hopping it would work xD
thats like rule number one when working on cars! Don't throw stuff at the car and hope it fixes the problem, diagnose the issue and replace the proper part that had failed. Silly mechanic!

  18. Lol, where I'm at the sell cars like that for $3,000…. I wish I could get a free or even cheap car to fix up, even if it was just as a junker for a hobby.

  19. Fuel, air, compression, spark. Those are the fourth elements that rule the balance of the world. But everything changed when spark nation attacked

  20. Thanks ChrisFix. Just hopped in a 2019 Porshe 911 Turbo at the dealership, it wouldnt start or crank but thanks to this tutorial I got a free car. Subscribed.

  21. Very awesome video! I do think a little bit of advice should be given about interference engines. If a vehicle is out of time on too much on an interference engine then you just lost a car or need to replace a few more parts.

  22. so pretty much what your saying is become a ASE cert mechanic and you'll be good ? Cause we have all these tools right?

  23. One of the reasons why you should buy a Toyota with a timing chain engine that you will never need to replace or have to worry about for the lifetime longevity of the engine.

  24. I wish you were my mechanic 😡 because my mechanic act like he don’t know shit I know more then he does I learned by watching you

  25. It’s funny how you never show your face (never show it..you are a midterm). I never know if you are talking or just do the talking during video editing.

  26. Didn’t that timing belt problem kill the valves (those things that let air in and out in the engine) because the pistons hit them

  27. @chrisfix next time you have a car that hasn’t been started in a long time, while you have the plugs out crank the starter until it builds oil pressure (the oil light turns off) so you don’t dry start the engine under compression. Save yourself from spinning a bearing. Lucky that compression test likely helped with the priming.

  28. Lets all be honest…… His neighbors "mechanic" was a 16 year old honda kid not an actual technician. Don't Talk shit on career technicians when you're only paying backyard dipshits to work on your car.

  30. I’m not sure where he’s from but one thing that he said, he used crank and turn over interchangeably, typically, in the south, turn over (fire up) is what happens after it cranks

  31. Wow if that car had 90k miles on it, by the looks of the inside of the engine, that is the factory oil😂😂😂

  32. Gonna guess fuel pump, but of course I would check the pressure at the rail and voltage at the pump if it's easy (some cars you can check the connector very easily without dropping the tank).

  33. Dude sounds like that other mechanic was either not much of a mechanic or just throwing parts at the problem. ChrisFix shows you that a smart mechanic diagnoses the root cause before buying anything! And in this case it looks like he didn’t need any parts : )

  34. Chris my dads car won’t run it starts but it won’t stay on it will turn off if you let go go of the accelerator help

  35. Absolutely awesome m8 well done you ..would love to see the guys reaction when you tell him that you got it going and his mechanic is an idiot. .lol

  36. Maaaaan! YOU ARE AMAZING! Hahaha how the F do you know so much about cars man?! Seems to me you can make a car run even if it doesn’t have an engine! Amazing!!!
