THEY WERE CAUGHT AT ADESA AUCTION ON GETWELL ROAD. BUT … POLICE SAY SEVERAL OTHERS GOT AWAY. LOCAL 24 NEWS REPORTER BRAD BRODERS … IS LIVE OUTSIDE THAT LOT IN SOUTHEAST MEMPHIS. BRAD … THIS WAS A HOT SPOT FOR THIEVES WASN’T IT? Brad: MEMPHIS POLICE REPORTS SHOW THIS IS THIRD TIME THIS MONTH AND SECOND TIME THIS WEEK THIEVES TARGETED THIS BUSINESS – AND THIS MORNING – TWO WERE CAUGHT TRYING TO STEAL CARS FROM THIS PROPERTY. THOSE WHO WORK AT THE BUSINESSES SAID THEY’RE FED UP – AND BULKED UP THEIR OWN SECURITY IN RESPONSE. MEMPHIS POLICE BELIEVE THE SAME GROUP MAY HAVE HIT OTHER DEALERSHIPS IN RECENT WEEKS – INCLUDING ADESA THREE TIMES THIS MONTH – THE LATEST CRIME HAPPENING THIS MORNING. WHILE TWO PEOPLE WERE CAUGHT THIS MORNING – SEVERAL REMAIN ON THE RUN.
