  1. By the way if you shop at Advance Auto and use the code "SPARK" at checkout, you will get 25% off your entire order (order anything, not just plugs) from 6/21 – 9/30. *I do not make a penny from this. I literally asked Advance Auto for a discount for my Subscribers (and I use it too lol). I hope that helps!

  2. I'm gonna give this all a go tomorrow. I tracked a ticking noise to one of the spark plugs. Put my hand on it and it stopped ticking. Assuming it's loose or needs replacing. However, this video has convinced me to check the state of all my plugs and give it a go. I have a spare set of OEM plugs. Thanks to all your vids ChrisFix, I've been servicing my car, my folks and my siblings cars. Your videos/instructions are PRO! A+ Cheers dude… From Melbourne, Australia.

  3. Hi Chris, great video. Some plugs come pre-gapped as you stated (iridium, platinum). Sometimes that pre-gapped plug has a larger or smaller gap than that listed in the car manual. Assuming the new plug is gapped as stated on the box, should I adjust the factory gap to the gap listed in the manual or leave it as is came from the factory? For example: new pre-gapped plug is .44 where the manual states to use .36. Should I close the gap to .36 or leave .44? Thank you for your time.

  10. 7:12 That's not what wasted spark means. In a wasted spark system, the spark plugs fire in pairs, with one plug in a cylinder on its compression stroke and the other plug in a cylinder on its exhaust stroke. This reduces the number of components needed and the "wasted" spark has no impact on the lifespan of the plugs and wires.
