Tom Young Preparing your Toyota for Winter

Hi, this is Tom at handy Toyota in beautiful
sunny St.Albans. Little bit chilly, but we’ll get through it some how. I want to go over
what to do to get your car ready for winter very important. You don’t want to wait for
that first snowy day or first chilled up day to find out that one, that your battery isn’t
gonna be able to start the car under the severe Vermont winter condition. When you get that
clicking noise in the morning, nothing worse starting out your day that way, that’s not
some ancient foreign language. That’s the battery saying I’m not gonna start your car
today. So you wanna have service do a load check on the battery, you wanna make sure
your anti-freeze level is set for winter, you wanna make sure you always have your windshield
washer fluid level full, and you wanna also make sure that everything else under the hood
is going to be working proper for winter. OK, on the doors you just want to take out
your trusty can of WD-40, which we always carry in our pocket and you wanna spray a
little on this, and then your gonna rub it all around any thing you on the doors that
are rubber and that’ll winterize those against drying out and cracking during our wonderful
winter conditions and last but not least, have service do a tire check and you wanna
adjust the pressure, you don’t want to have the same pressure you have during the summer
and you wanna make sure your tires are in perfect balance and also probably you want
a little bit lighter on the front than the backs. So with that said, get your car ready
for winter, give Joe and the boys a call in service and they’ll set you up with an appointment.
