IS HOME TO SOME OF THE MOST UNWANTED THINGS. District 25 has been the dumping ground for years.. BUT COUNCILMAN ENNIS FANT SAYS NO MORE.. AND HE’S STARTING WITH used CAR LOTS. Used car lots are eyesores, and they’ve really run down property values and really hurt this area. HE INTRODUCED A MORATORIUM THAT WOULDN’T ALLOW ANY MORE PERMITS FOR USED CAR LOTS ON WHITE HORSE ROAD FROM OLD WHITE HORSE ROAD NEAR FURMAN TO HIGHWAY 8 AND 417 IN WARE PLACE … UNTIL 20-18. Giving the county a chance to study the White Horse Road corridor to find a better and higher use for the road other than used car lots to help spawn economic growth Last month, council voted down an appeal to make this a used car lot, and that spurred the proposed moratorium. We had restaurants, we had grocery stores.. BUT NOW STEEL AND WHEELS.. PAINT THE STREET CORNERS.. ALONG WITH UNWANTED NEIGHBORS.
